SAN ANTONIO — UTSA and Learfield/Roadrunners Sports Properties announced Wednesday that the Roadrunners' Conference USA opener, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, at Florida Atlantic, will be televised on KMYS-CW 35 in San Antonio.
The contest, which is slated for a 4 p.m. (CT) kickoff at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Fla., also will air on The CW South Texas in Corpus Christi and on Time Warner Cable Sports Channel 323 throughout the state.
Jay Howard (play-by-play), Don Harris (analyst) and Jim Goodman (sidelines) will call all the action for the first-ever meeting between the the two programs. The telecast will be produced by Quarter Moon Productions and all 12 of UTSA’s regular season games now will be televised this fall.
“Having this game on television is an outstanding opportunity to add to the value of the UTSA brand,” Roadrunners Sports Properties General Manager Eric Williamson said. “We are thrilled to be able to bring a key Conference USA matchup back home to the San Antonio market while also giving our corporate partners additional brand exposure.”
“There is a high level of interest in UTSA football that continues to grow and we are excited about adding the road game at Florida Atlantic to our broadcast schedule,” KMYS-CW 35 General Manager Dean Radla said. “KMYS will proudly air three UTSA games this season, including the two on American Sports Network, and we’re looking forward to bringing these broadcasts to the viewers.”
KMYS-CW 35 is available in the San Antonio market on AT&T U-Verse (35/1035 HD), DirecTV (35), DISH Network (35), Grande Communications (7/807 HD), Time Warner Cable (7/107 HD) and over the air (35.1).
The CW South Texas is available in the Corpus Christi market on Grande Communications (16/816 HD), Time Warner Cable (23/861 HD) and over the air (6.2).
