Men's basketball adds pair to 2014 class

SAN ANTONIO  UTSA head men’s basketball coach Brooks Thompson announced Wednesday the addition of Ryan Bowie (Lewisville, Texas/Lewisville HS/Iowa Western CC) and Edwin Olympio (Marseille, France/Folsom [Calif.] HS/Westwind Prep) to the 2014 recruiting class.

Bowie, who signed a grant-in-aid, and Olympio, who inked a National Letter of Intent during the spring signing period, will join fall signees Austin Karrer (New Braunfels, Texas/Canyon HS), James Ringholt (Rockhampton, Australia/Brisbane Boys’ College) and Christian Wilson (Baton Rouge, La./Notre Dame Prep) for the 2014-15 season.

“We’re very excited to add Ryan and Edwin to our program,” Thompson said. “Ryan will give us another experienced ball handler who can score as well as make plays for others. He comes from a great program at Iowa Western and knows how to win.
