FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The UTSA women's track & field team concluded its 2014 season at this weekend's NCAA Championships Preliminary Rounds.
Leading the way was Whitney Flannel, who placed 24th in the high jump on Saturday. The junior from West Columbia cleared 5-7 ¾ (1.72m) in the field of 48.
Meanhile, Ernestine Cray finished 31st in the triple jump (39-6/12.04m) on Friday. That performance came a day after the senior from San Antonio recorded a 32nd-place effort in the long jump (18-10 ½/5.75m).
Nina Herrera wrapped up her career with a 38th-place showing (4:27.85) on Thursday in the opening round of the 1,500 meters.
Lindsey Pew was the Roadrunners' other competitor, but she was unable to record a height in the pole vault on the opening day of the meet.
