SAN ANTONIO — Jeremiah Moeller has earned an invitation to this weekend's Chicago Bears rookie mini-camp. He will be the first UTSA football player to particpate in a National Football League (NFL) camp.
Moeller, a two-year team captain for the Roadrunners, saw action in 34 games (20 starts) during his three-year career and caught 21 passes for 239 yards and one touchdown while serving as the team's primary blocking tight end.
The 6-foot-2, 245-pounder is coming off a senior season that saw him play in all 12 games, including seven starts, and he caught nine passes for 62 yards.
A native of New Braunfels, Moeller received an invitation to last month's NFL Super Regional Scouting Combine in Detroit, Mich., after a strong showing at a February regional in Houston.
