SAN ANTONIO — UTSA women’s basketball head coach Luby Lichonczak announced Monday the signing of two student-athletes to the Roadrunners' 2014 recruiting class.
Crystal Chidomere, a 5-foot-11 guard from Bush High School in Richmond, helped lead the Lady Broncos to the District 23-5A Championship for the second consecuitve year and was named the District Most Valuable Player after averaging 14.7 points per game as a senior. She also was selected to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) 5A All-Region team in addition to being named to the All-Greater Houston second team by the Houston Chronicle.
Meanwhile, Carlie Heineman, a 6-foot shooting guard from Brennan High School in San Antonio, was selected to the TABC and Texas Girls Coaches Association's All-Class 4A team after averaging 12.4 points and 2.9 assists per game as a senior. Heineman was coached by former UTSA assistant Koty Cowgill and helped lead the Bears to a semifinal appearance at the Class 4A Tournament.
