AUSTIN — Lindsey Pew registered a program record in the pole vault for the third consecutive meet to lead UTSA at Saturday's Texas Invitational.
Pew placed third in her specialty event with a clearance of 13-6 ¼ (4.12m), which now stands as the top mark in Conference USA this season. That eclipsed her previous best of 12-9 ½ (3.90m) recorded at last week's Pepsi Florida Relays and previously at the March 28 Trinity Tigers Relays.
UTSA also received second-place efforts from Whitney Flannel in the high jump (5-8/1.73m) and Kayla Hunt in the triple jump (wind-aided 39-0 ½/11.90m).
Angel Sifuentes added a podium finish in the javelin with a toss of 138-9 (42.30m).
The Roadrunners will return home next Saturday, April 19, for the UTSA Invitational.
