UTSA to play three-game series at Tulane this weekend

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will continue its five-game road trip with a weekend Conference USA series at Tulane. Due to forecasted inclement weather in the Crescent City, the set will open with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Friday followed by a single contest at 10 a.m. the following day.

UTSA (19-10, 6-3 C-USA) enters the weekend having won three of its past four outing, but they lost the last time out, 7-6, at I-35 rival Texas State on Tuesday. Senior Mike Warren extended his consecutive reached base streak to 23 games with a go-ahead two-run home run in the eighth inning against the Bobcats.

Meanwhile, Tulane (13-14, 5-6 C-USA) also enters having lost a midweek tilt on Tuesday. The Green Wave was dealt a 16-0 setback by No. 4 Louisiana-Lafayette. Richard Carthon and Hunter Hope lead Tulane at the plate with averages north of .300.
