SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will host its final three matches of the season this weekend against No. 63 Wichita State at 2 p.m. Friday and a twinbill versus Texas-Pan American at 10 a.m. and NCAA Division II No. 29 St. Mary’s at 2 p.m. the following day.
The Roadrunners (6-10) will look to bounce back after dropping a 4-3 home match to Incarnate Word last Saturday. Tomas Stillman leads the team with a 13-1 singles record and he has paired with Joel Rubio for a 12-2 record and No. 33 national doubles ranking.
Saturday’s 5-2 win against Air Force marked Wichita State’s (10-6) sixth victory in its last seven contests. Shockers Tin Ostojic and Tomislav Gregurovic both are currently on nine-match winning streaks in singles play. The pair is tied for the team lead 11 dual match victories.
Texas-Pan American (3-11) was forced indoors last Saturday because of bad weather and was swept by Rice.
St. Mary’s (6-5) dropped a couple of contests on the road last week to Saint Leo and Rollins. Brien Galon leads the team with a 9-1 singles record and has paired with Richard Foley to win four straight doubles matches.
