Battle of unbeatens to take place on Tuesday night at Roadrunner Field

SAN ANTONIO — Two unbeaten teams will square off Tuesday at 6 p.m.  when Houston Baptist comes to the Alamo City to face UTSA.

The Roadrunners opened the season with a three-game sweep of Saint Peter’s, while Houston Baptist won three consecutive contests against Prairie View A&M in Houston.

UTSA hit .347 and outscored the Peacocks, 30-3, last weekend. Outfielder John Welborn led the way by going 5-for-9 (.556) with a 1.000 slugging percentage, while RJ Perucki picked up the game-winning sacrifice fly in Friday’s 1-0 season-opening victory.

The Roadrunners have won the past five meetings and lead the al-time series, 6-2. UTSA won the last meeting, 11-1, on April 17, 2012.
