UTSA earns 2013 All-Academic honors from USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, La. — The 2013 Conference USA Champion UTSA women's cross country program was one of 217 teams that earned All-Academic accolades from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Friday.

The Roadrunners posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.23 last fall en route to the program's sixth league title in school history and first since 1996.

NCAA Champion Providence was tabbed the Scholar Team of the Year, while Southern Mississippi reported the nation’s highest GPA at 3.79.

To qualify, teams must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship meet.
