SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's tennis team will travel to Dallas to face SMU on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Bent Tree Country Club.
The Roadrunners (0-2) are coming off a 6-1 setback at No. 11 Texas A&M last Saturday. Joel Rubio and Tomas Stillman upset the Aggies' No. 20-ranked duo of Jeremy Efferding and Jordan Szabo to help UTSA clinch the doubles point, but A&M took all six singles match in the victory.
The Mustangs are 2-2 this season with wins against Illinois State (4-1) and Florida Gulf Coast (4-3) and losses to No. 20 Texas (7-0) and No. 30 Drake (4-1).
UTSA and SMU last met on March 5, 2011, when the Mustangs pulled out a 4-3 victory in Dallas.
