IRVING — The 2014 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship will be held in Edmond, Okla., at Oak Tree Country Club, a member of the ClubCorp family of clubs, the league office announced on Wednesday. The three-day championship will be played from April 27-29.
The 14 C-USA men's golf teams will play 18 holes per day on the East Championship Course, a 7,100-yard Pete Dye design, which also annually hosts the Oklahoma State Championships.
Playing partners for the first day will be determined by a blind draw. For every succeeding round, team scores will determine pairings. The winning team earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Golf Championship.
Located approximately 15 miles north of Oklahoma City, Oak Tree Country Club offers two 18-hole Pete Dye-designed golf courses — the East and West — both named on the Golf Digest 2013 Top 10 "Best-in-State" rankings.
Oak Tree also features a dramatic wood and stone 65,000-square-foot clubhouse with formal and informal dining, a 75,000-square-foot Sports Facility with six indoor tennis courts, six outdoor tennis courts, an indoor jogging track, fitness center, aerobics studio, racquetball court, basketball court, additional locker rooms with saunas and whirlpools, an Olympic-size swimming pool and children's wading pool.
