COLLEGE STATION — Ernestine Cray recorded a pair of personal bests to lead the UTSA women's track & field team at Saturday's season-opening Texas A&M Reveiille Invitational.
The senior from Corpus Christi opened her afternoon with a 7.89 in the 60-meter dash (17th place) before earning a bronze medal in the long jump with the fifth-best measurement in program history (19-5 ½/5.93m).
The Roadrunners also received podium finishes from Grace Kohler, Emily Perez and Lindsey Pew.
Kohler won the two-person 5k in 18:57.98, Perez placed third in the mile (4:58.40) and Pew earned bronze in the pole vault with the second-best performance in school annals (11-9 ¾/3.60m).
UTSA will be back in action on Jan. 11 at the Houston Opener.
