UTSA to host pair of winter softball camps

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA softball program will host a hitting and defense camp on Dec. 14 and an Advanced Level All-Skills Exposure Clinic on Jan. 11 at Roadrunner Field.

The hitting and defense camp will consist of infield and outfield defensive drills along with hitting instruction and it will be split into two sessions.

The first session will be a youth camp from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. for campers between the ages of six and 12, while the second session is a middle school camp from 1-4 p.m. that is open to campers in sixth through eighth grade.

The cost for each session is $80 per camper.

Meanwhile, the Advanced Level All-Skills Exposure Clinic is open to high school participants only. The clinic will be run like a college practice with drill work, competitive stations and live scrimmaging at the end.

The cost for the clinic, which is limited to 50 participants, is $100 per camper.
