SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will continue its season on Saturday morning when it competes at the UIW Cardinals Invitational at Live Oak City Park.
The 5,000-meter race is scheduled to start at 8:40 a.m. and it will feature a majority of the South Texas cross country teams in the region, along with a few from outside the local area. The Roadrtunners will compete against fellow Division I schools Abilene Christian, Incarnate Word, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State and Texas-Pan American.
Racing for the first time this fall, Alyssa Diaz paced UTSA at last Friday's Notre Dame Invitational. The senior from Hereford covered the 5,000-meter course in 17:56.4 and crossed the finish line in 48th place, as the Roadrunners finished 19th in the 24-team blue division race with 428 points.
