SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will return to action on Friday night when it makes the trek up IH-35 to participate at the Texas Invitational.
The men's 8,000-meter run is scheduled to start at 6:50 p.m. at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock and the Roadrunners will compete against runners from meet host Texas and Houston Baptist.
UTSA is coming off last Friday's runner-up finish at its annual home meet, the Ricardo Romo Classic.
Mike Medrano led the way with his second-place performance, which was his best finish of the fall. The junior from Mission covered the rain-soaked 5,000-meter course in 15:50.4.
