SAN ANTONIO — Samantha Fish raced to a third-place performance to lead UTSA at Saturday's Alamo City Opener.
The senior from Los Fresnos covered the Olmos Basin Park 4,000-meter loop in 14:57.35 to pace the Roadrunners. Classmate Nina Herrera finished one spot behind her teammate in 15:00.70, while Kerstin Sheehan (15:07.15), Stephanie Wangui (15:12.53) and Sarah Wedgeworth (15:12.55) rounded out the UTSA's scoring contingent in seventh through ninth place, respectively.
The Roadrunners will return to the course next Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Texas Lutheran Invitational in Seguin.
