CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — Taylor Newlin was named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association's (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced on Monday.
Student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 GPA and compete in two-thirds of their team’s events to qualify for the honor.
The Frisco native played in all 11 tournaments for UTSA last season, while working toward her business marketing and accounting degree.
Newlin posted a career-best 76.03 stroke average and helped the Roadrunners to their third consecutive NCAA Regional when it secured the school’s first at-large bid to a national postseason event in any sport.
