· The "Vision Campaign" is a historic and unprecedented $30 million facilities capital campaign at Marshall. It was created to enhance sports medicine and establish both academic and athletics centers of excellence that include an indoor practice facility with a NCAA-approved track, a soccer stadium complex, a sports medicine translational research center and student-athlete academics center.

· Marshall boasts more than 100,000 living alumni.

· The Thundering Herd volleyball team swept the 2005 Conference USA regular season and tournament titles, while also winning the 2007 regular season crown.

· Marshall is undergoing tremendous growth all across its 100-acre campus. In addition to the $30 million athletics renovations, there also have been several other openings on campus that include a 123,000-square-foot Recreation Center (2009), the Erickson Alumni & Foundation Center (2010), the School of Physical Therapy at the St. Mary’s Education Center (2012) and the renovated Medical Education Building for School of Pharmacy (2012).

· After winning the 1996 NCAA Division I-AA Championship, Marshall moved up to Division I-A and the Thundering Herd have gone to nine bowl games since that time.

· Marshall opened its School of Pharmacy in 2012, with the first graduating class in 2016.

· In 2009, Marshall’s forensic science graduate program ranked first in the nation based upon scores on the Forensic Science Assessment Test (FSAT), which is a qualifying exam offered by the American Board of Criminalistics. In 2011, the school’s digital forensics program was the first in the world to obtain full accreditation in digital forensics from the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC).
