SAN ANTONIO — UTSA recorded six victories and posted a combined total of 21 podium finishes this weekend at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and Trinity Tigers Relays.
The Roadrunners' gold medalists included April Benavidez (pole vault), Katie Bragg (hammer), Samantha Fish (5k), Zaquita McClanahan (shot put), Emily Perez (800m) and Grace Williamson (1,500m) and all six came at Friday's local meet.
UTSA also saw 10 athletes post runner-up finishes this weekend — including Alyssa Diaz (10k) and Nina Herrera (1,500m), who both did so on Thursday evening in Austin — and there also were seven bronze-medal performances.
The Roadrunners will be back in action next weekend at the Texas State Invitational. The two-day meet is scheduled to begin on Friday, April 5.
