SAN ANTONIO — Michael Kraft, Jordan Pacheco and Logan Onda combined on a five-hit shutout and UTSA topped Omaha, 5-0, in the second game of the UTSA Classic on Friday night at Wolff Stadium.
The Roadrunners (7-3) scored all of their runs on two-out home runs.
RJ Perucki cleared the bases with a three-run, inside-the-park homer in the third and Daniel Rockett clubbed a two-run shot over the left-field wall two panels later.
Kraft (1-1) scattered three hits, walked one and struck out a game-high five batters in his five innings. The left-hander then turned the ball to the bullpen, which only allowed a pair of hits, while another batter reached on an error.
Rockett picked up three of UTSA's five hits on the night, drove in two and scored twice.
Matt Tew (0-1) took the loss after allowing four runs on four hits in 4.2 stanzas.
The Roadrunners will continue tournament play on Saturday against Penn State (2-5), which defeated Stephen F. Austin, 4-2, in Friday's opener. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
