Roadrunners begin play at Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate

AUGUSTA, Ga. — No. 48 UTSA carded 314 and the Roadrunners sit in 10th place after the opening round of the Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate, which was played on Friday at Forest Hills Golf Club (par 72/6,214 yards).

Fabiola Arriaga, Chelsea Bretcher and Paola Valerio each recorded rounds of 78 to tie for 33rd place. Arriaga and Bretcher finished with a pair of birdies, while Valerio carded one.

Meanwhile, Brogan Townend also fired two birdies to tie for 53rd with an 80 and Taylor Newlin shot 83 to tie for 75th.

No. 9 Vanderbilt leads the team standings with a 290. The team has three players in the top five, including Lauren Stratton, who tops the individual leaderboard at three-under-par 69.

Play will continue on Saturday with UTSA teeing off from No. 10 beginning at 8:05 a.m. (CT).
