ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Siera Sproul was named Western Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Sproul went 5-for-6 (.833) with a double, home run and six RBIs to lead the Roadrunners to a doubleheader sweep of Houston Baptist last Wednesday. The Liberty Hill native set career highs with three hits and three RBIs in the first game before hitting her third homer of the year and notching three more RBIs in game two. Her nine total bases in the twinbill translated to a 1.500 slugging percentage.
UTSA (13-8) will look to extend its four-game winning streak on Wednesday when it travels down IH-37 for a 3 p.m. matchup at former Southland Conference foe Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (6-17).
