ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Brett Hogan has been named Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Hogan helped lead UTSA to its first team tournament title since 2004 at last week's Rice Intercollegiate in Houston. The Calgary, Alberta, native tied for runner-up honors after carding a five-under-par 211 in the 81-player field. He opened with a four-under 68, a season-low round, and then followed a 74 with a final-round 69. It marked the 22nd team crown for the program and the first since winning the 2004 Rice Intercollegiate.
