TUSLA, Okla. — UTSA wrapped up play at last weekend's ITA/D'Novo All-American Championships on Sunday.
All six of the Roadrunners who competed lost in the pre-qualifying singles draw.
Junior Tyler Brown advanced to the third round after a pair of byes before falling to TCU's Nick Chappell in straight sets (6-3, 6-3).
Senior Daniel Moser and junior Martin Ayala both received first-round byes but lost to their second-round opponents.
Senior Pedro Zanotelli and sophomore Yannick Junger each were topped in straight sets of their first-round matches.
Meanwhile, freshman Joel Rubio dropped a three-set affair with George Washington's Alexander van Gils (6-1, 3-6, 6-0) in the opening round.
The Birds return to action this weekend when they host their annual UTSA Invitational. The three-day event is scheduled to begin on Friday at the UTSA Tennis Center.
