SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will continue its fall campaign this weekend when it travels to Albuquerque, N.M., to compete at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The two-day event will be played at New Mexico Championship Golf Course (par 72/7,248 yards).
The Roadrunners are coming off a tie for ninth place at the season-opening UTA/Waterchase Invitational on Sept. 20 in Fort Worth. Sophomore Ryan Werre led the way with a four-over-par 148 (76-72) to tie for 24th in the tournament that saw the third round cancelled due to a swarm of bees.
UTSA finished 16th (310-311-321=942) at last year’s William H. Tucker Intercollegiate behind Nicko Dodd’s 40th-place showing (79-75-73=227).
