Tickets remain for inaugural football game

SAN ANTONIO — More than 42,000 tickets have been printed for UTSA’s inaugural football game against Northeastern State, which is slated for 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Alamodome.

The UTSA Ticket Office has sold more than 11,000 season tickets, while approximately 31,000 additional single-game tickets, including students and their guests, have been issued for Saturday's contest.

A large walk-up crowd is anticipated, so purchasing tickets in advance or arriving early to the Alamodome Box Office on Saturday morning is highly encouraged.

Current UTSA students gain free admission with a valid student ID. More than 8,000 students and their guests already have printed tickets. School officials are expecting at least half of the student body — approximately 15,000 — to attend the game, which would push the total attendance figure past South Florida's inaugural game attendance record of 49,212, which was set in 1997 against Kentucky Wesleyan.

To order tickets, please call (210) 458-UTSA (8872) or visit goUTSA.com. Tickets also may be purchased at the Alamodome box office or any Ticketmaster outlet.

Single-game premium sideline tickets and club-level tickets are priced at $45. Lower-level sideline and corner tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for juniors/military. End zone and upper-level tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for juniors/military.

Special rates are available for groups of 20 or more people. Call the UTSA Athletics Ticket Office at (210) 458-UTSA (8872) for more information and to book your group outing today.

Season tickets also are still available at varied price levels from $120 up to $1,250 per seat.
