SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will open its 2011-12 season on Sunday at The “Mo”Morial, which will be hosted by Texas A&M University. The Roadrunners return seven players from last season’s Southland Conference Championship squad and will face a stiff early test, as the entire 11-team field is ranked in golfstat.com’s top 60. The three-day tournament will be played at Traditions Golf Club in Bryan.
When: Sunday, Sept. 11 – Tuesday, Sept. 13
Where: Traditions Golf Club (6,260 yards/par 72 for first and third rounds; 6,233 yards/par 72 for second round) – Bryan, Texas
Format: Three-day event with tee times for the first two rounds (Sunday-Monday) and a shotgun start for Tuesday’s final round.

· Third on the team with a 76.28 stroke average last season
· Shot a season-best 69 at the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Women's Championship
· Finished in the top 15 four times last season
Paola Valerio (Jr. – Mexico City, Mexico)
· 2010-11 Southland Conference Women's Player of the Year
· Only two-time first-team All-Southland selection in program history
