SAN ANTONIO — UTSA, winners of two consecutive outings, will look to continue its winning ways this weekend when it travels to Denver, Colo., for the two-day Pioneers Classic. The Roadrunners (3-4) will play a total of four matches on Friday and Saturday at Hamilton Gymnasium on the campus of Denver University.
UTSA will open tournament play with a 2 p.m. (CT) matchup with tournament host Denver (2-4) on Friday and that will be followed by a 6 p.m. meeting with Missouri (8-1) later that evening. The Birds will conclude play the next day with tilts against UC Davis (6-1) and Drake (2-4) and noon and 6 p.m., respectively.
The Roadrunners have won their only meetings against Denver and Drake, while they will face Missouri and UC Davis for the first time in program history.
