NORMAN, Okla. — The UTSA men’s golf program has been recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as an All-Academic Team for posting a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or better during the 2010-11 academic year.
The Roadrunners were one of 59 teams nationally honored by the GCAA and were the lone member from the Southland Conference.
“This is an outstanding honor for our guys and I’m extremely proud of them,” head coach John Knauer said. “Academics come first for all of our student-athletes and it’s great to see their hard work in the classroom pay off in a way that they are recognized nationally.”
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college of university must submit the grade points earned and hours attempted for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
