FORT WORTH — UTSA head football coach Larry Coker is set to speak at the 79th annual Texas High School Coaches Association convention, which is underway this week at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
Coker is slated to give a speech on program standards and leadership from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday. He is one of just four college head coaches from around the country who have been selected to speak, joining TCU's Gary Patterson, Navy's Ken Niumatalolo and Illinois' Ron Zook on the docket.
Coker will lead the Roadrunners into their inaugural season this fall, which kicks off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3, against his alma mater, Northeastern State, at the Alamodome.
