Roadrunners come up short against sixth-ranked Longhorns

AUSTIN UTSA came up short at No. 6 Texas on Wednesday, as the Longhorns recorded a 6-1 victory at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center.

Junior Daniel Moser picked up the Roadrunners' lone win after defeating Ben Chen in straight sets, 7-6 (9-7), 6-4, at the sixth position.

The Longhorns (12-3) won the other five singles matches and swept the three doubles tilts.

UTSA lost to ranked opponents in three of the five singles contests. Two of the Horns' three doubles wins also were by nationally-ranked tandems.

UTSA (9-6) will wrap up its seven-match road trip at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Texas Tech (11-4).
