No. 61 New Mexico gets past UTSA on Friday, 5-2

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The UTSA men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at No. 61 New Mexico on Friday.

The Roadrunners (2-3) were unable to collect the doubles point and dropped four of the six singles matches.

Senior Max Stratmann teamed up with freshman Kolby Kilgo to defeat Joe Wood and Matthew Neeld, 8-7, in No. 3 doubles, but the Lobos (6-2) picked up back-to-back victories at the Nos. 1 and 2 positions to claim an early 1-0 lead.

Freshman Yannick Junger moved up to the No. 2 singles spot and defeated Carl Ho, 6-3, 6-3, while sophomore Tyler Brown topped Phil Anderson, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, at the No. 3 slot to collect UTSA's only points of the day.

The Roadrunners will continue their current five-match road trip at No. 58 New Mexico State on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT).
