SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men’s tennis team will conclude its fall campaign this weekend at the Texas Invitational. The Roadrunners will compete along with 13 other teams at the UT Tennis Center beginning Friday.
Two single’s draw brackets of 32 players will kick off the opening day of action.
Freshman Tim Kuo will face off against Marquette’s Drake Kakar, while sophomore Hugo Guanais will compete against Jacob Strauss of Oklahoma. Freshmen Yannick Junger and Oliver Breininger will challenge UT Arlington's Erik Hjertonsson and Lucas Leppin, respectively. Junior Shariq Khan and freshman Kolby Kilgo are slated to compete in single’s action against Logon Collins (Marquette) and Dusan Savkovic (Lamar), respectively.
Saturday morning will mark the beginning of doubles play.
Khan and Kuo are scheduled to team up against the Texas Tech tandem of Raphael Pfister and Ryan Ybarra. Breninger and Guanais will join forces to challenge Beau Bernstein and Ashwin Vijayragavan of Texas Pan-American, while Junger and sophomore Pedro Zanotelli will face off against Lamar’s Diego Snyder and Carlos Valdenebro.
