SAN ANTONIO — The men’s tennis team will host the UTSA Invitational this weekend at the UTSA Tennis Center.
The Roadrunners will welcome Laredo Community College, St. Edwards and Texas A&M to the Alamo City for the two-day event, which is slated to begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday and continue through Sunday evening.
The tournament will feature both A and B draws in singles and doubles play.
Senior Daniel Moreiras, sophomores Martin Ayala and Tyler Brown and freshman Yannick Junger will compete in the singles A draw for the Roadrunners, while senior Max Stratmann, juniors Shariq Khan, Daniel Moser and Pedro Zanotelli, sophomore Hugo Guanais and freshmen Oliver Breininger, Kolby Kilgo, and Tim Kuo will take part in the singles B draw.
The Birds also will see their first doubles action of the fall campaign this weekend, as Moser and Khan will team up in the A draw, along with Stratmann and Brown. Moreiras and Ayala also will compete in the draw after going a perfect 7-0 last season. Junger and Zanotelli will join forces in the B draw, along with the tandems of Kuo and Kilgo and Guanais and Breininger.
