WACO — Baylor broke open a close match with three second-half goals and the UTSA women’s soccer team fell to 3-2 on the season after a 4-0 loss at Betty Lou Mays Stadium on Friday night.

Hanna Gilmore put the Bears on the board in the third minute with a goal off a feed from Dana Larsen. Despite being out-shot 17-2 in the first half, the Roadrunners trailed just 1-0 at the break thanks to six saves by sophomore goalkeeper Dacia Webb.

However, the Baylor offensive attack proved to be too much in the second half.

Goals by Lisa Sliwinski, Brittany Hunemuller and Bethany Johnson put the match out of reach to help the Bears improve to 4-1 on the season.

UTSA is back in action at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the UTSA Recreational Sports Complex when it hosts Grambling (0-2).
