UTSA adds home match against Grambling State for Sunday

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head women’s soccer coach Steve Ballard announced Tuesday that he has added a home match against Grambling State, which will be played at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the UTSA Recreational Sports Complex.

The Roadrunners (3-1), who are off to the best start in school history, won their only previous meeting against Grambling, 6-0, on Sept. 1, 2006, at the UTEP Miners Classic in El Paso. UTSA is 9-0 all-time against members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, including victories against Alcorn State (8-0) and Prairie View A&M (4-1) this season.

The additional contest gives the Roadrunners 10 home matches this season and admission is free.

UTSA returns to action at Baylor (3-1) at 7 p.m. on Friday.
