SAN ANTONIO —UTSA head strength & conditioning coach Michael Cox announced Friday that Summer Batiste (women's golf) and Ryan Rummel (baseball)have been named student-athletes of the month for March.

Women
Summer Batiste, women's golf
Batiste finished second at the Northern Migration Invitational and led the Roadrunners to their second-ever team championship in a field that included five Big 12 teams and a Big Ten squad. She has set personal bests this year in the bench press (120 lbs.), back squat (205 lbs.), vertical jump (21.5 inches) and pull-ups (seven).

Men
Ryan Rummel, baseball
Rummel leads UTSA in batting average (.459), hits (17) and slugging percentage (784) and the senior captain has helped lead the Roadunners to nine wins this year. He set personal bests in testing with a bench press of 225 pounds, power clean of 235 pounds, back squat of 405 pounds and vertical leap of 30.5 inches.
