Roadrunners wrap up Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Classic in 13th place

Senior Emiliano Martinez was UTSA's top finisher for third time this spring.

CHOUDRANT, La. – The UTSA men’s golf team closed out the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Classic in 13th place with a final scorecard of 318-313-316 (947) on Tuesday.

Senior Emiliano Martinez was UTSA’s top finisher for the third time this spring. The Laredo native posted scores of 75-81-78 (234), while freshman Austin Struble capped off his day with a three-round total of 235 and tied for 46th. Freshmen Taylor Koser and Mitchell Griffin ended the event with two-day tallies of 240 and 245, respectively.

“It was not a good day for us, because the greens played tough throughout the day,” second-year head coach John Knauer said. “However, playing these types of greens will be a good learning experience for us in future events.”

The Roadrunners return to action on April 5-6 at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Austin.
