Roadrunners finish Oak Hills Invitational in 14th place

Freshman Nicko Dodd was UTSA's top finisher at this week's Oak Hills Invitational. SAN ANTONIO —

The UTSA men’s golf team posted a two-day team total of 920 (304-307-309) to finish in 14th place at the Oaks Hills Invitational.

The Roadrunners were led by freshman Nicko Dodd, who played as an individual. Dodd was the top finisher for UTSA after logging scores of 77-72-74—223 and he tied for 23rd.

Freshman Austin Struble, who ended his tournament tied for 44th, improved his scores in all three rounds shooting a 79-75-74—228. Meanwhile, freshman Mitchell Griffin closed out his third round with a 78 to finish one stroke behind Struble. Junior Lewis Chong and senior Emiliano Martinez turned in scorecards of 232 and 233, respectively, while freshman Taylor Koser fired a two-day total of 238. Sophomore Payne Wilkie, also was in action for Birds, closed out with a 235 over the two-day event.

UTSA returns to action at the Texas State Invitational on Feb. 22-23.
