UTSA falls to Air Force on Sunday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. —  The UTSA women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at Air Force on Sunday.

The Roadrunners dropped to 2-3 on the season, while the Falcons improved to 7-1 on the year.

Air Force took the 1-0 lead after claiming the doubles point by sweeping all three matches.

In singles action, the Falcons won all six singles matches in straight sets. Christen Monreal made it a 2-0 lead for Air Force with a 6-2, 6-2 win over sophomore Micaela Silva. The Falcons then clinched the win at No. 4 and No. 3, respectively.

UTSA returns home for its 2010 home season opener against Abilene Christian on Feb. 13 and then versus St. Edward’s the following day.
