SAN ANTONIO — Freshman Dacia Webb posted a career-high 16 saves and the UTSA soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie with Stephen F. Austin on Sunday at the UTSA Recreational Complex.
The Roadrunners saw their record move to 9-8-2 on the season and 4-2-2 in league action, while the Ladyjacks saw their mark go to 7-8-1 overall and 4-2-1 in conference play.
UTSA grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the first half. Freshman Clare Jakubowski found junior Allison Dillon off the throw-in, who then sent the ball to junior Chelsea Zimmerman in the box and Zimmerman put it past SFA goalkeeper Courtney Bauder at the 27-minute mark.
The Ladyjacks scored the equalizer in the second half when Kylie Louw sent a cross to Megan Cash, who knocked it into the net with 22 minutes to go in the match.
The Roadrunners had two chances to win the contest in the first overtime. Zimmerman had a clear shot at goal, but Bauder made the save within the first three minutes of the extra period. Freshman Kara Hoffman shot was stopped with less than two minutes left.
UTSA travels to San Marcos to face I-35 rival Texas State in its regular-season finale on Friday night.
