PALM DESERT, Calif. — The UTSA men’s golf team concluded play at theWyoming Desert Intercollegiate tied for 14th place with scores of306-298-316—920 held at the Classic Club (7,322 yards/par 72).
The Roadrunners' top finisher was senior Emiliano Martinez, who carded a75-75-74—224 and tied for 30th. Freshman Mitchell Griffin posted a pairof 75s in the first two rounds and then fired a 79 on the final day fora 229 tally. Junior Jack Freeman capped off his tournament two strokes behindGriffin and tied for 61st place. Also in action were freshman NickoDodd and junior Lewis Chong, who recorded three-round totals of 237and 242, respectively.
The Roadrunners return home to host the Lone Star Invitational at Briggs Ranch from Oct. 18-19.
