Sophomore Courtney Nelson posted her first top-five finish of the season on Saturday.
SEGUIN — UTSA sophomore Courtney Nelson finished fourth in the women's 6k race at the TLU Invitational held Saturday morning on the Texas Lutheran campus.
Nelson, the only female Roadrunner to compete in the meet, covered the 6k loop in a time of 23:59.4 for her first top-five finish of the season. Caitlin Masse of Trinity won the meet with a 22:21.6 clocking.
The men's 8k race was cancelled after heavy rains pounded the Seguin area.
The Roadrunners are off next weekend before returning to action at the Chile Pepper Festival on Oct. 17 in Fayetteville, Ark.
