ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The UTSA men’s golf team turned in a 913 (306-303-304) to finish in 16th place at the 55th annual William H. Tucker Intercollegiate held at the University of New Mexico Championship Course (7,591yards/par 72).
Junior Lewis Chong ended the tournament tied for 48th after posting a pair of 73s and 77 for a three-round total of 223, while senior Emiliano Martinez finished tied for 61st with a two-day tally of 227. Sophomore Payne Wilkie turned in rounds of 77 and 79 in the first two rounds and posted a 75 in the final frame for a 231 to tie for 75th.
Junior Jack Freeman and senior Ryan Kiel also were in action and shot totals of 236 and 237, respectively.
UTSA returns to action at the UTA Waterchase Invitational on Sept. 21-22 in Arlington.
