SAN ANTONIO ? Seniors Shelly Martinez and Madison McClain and sophomores Summer Batiste, Shannon Jungman and Bruna Spengler along with former UTSA standout Allie Jordan will compete in several tournaments this summer.
Jordan will take part in the San Antonio City Women’s Championship held at Brackenridge Golf Course. The three-day event gets underway at 9 a.m. on Friday and Jordan finished second a year ago. Making their first appearance at the tournament will be Batiste, Martinez, McClain and Spengler.
Meanwhile, Jordan, Jungman and Martinez will take part in the Texas Women’s Open held at the Eastern Hills Country Club in Garland, Texas. The three-round event starts on June 23 and ends with the final round two days later.
Batiste, Martinez and McClain will see action in July at the North and South Women’s Amateur, which will be played at the Pinehurst No. 2 in Pinehurst, N.C.
