? Box score

Senior All-American Michael Rockett hit two home runs and extended his hitting streak to 16 games on Tuesday.

DALLAS ? Jason Krizan went 3-for-5 with a double, homer and five RBIs to lead a 19-hit offensive onslaught and Dallas Baptist cruised to a 15-8 victory against UTSA on Tuesday afternoon at Patriot Field.

The Roadrunners (29-22) saw their three-game winning streak come to an end, while the Patriots improved to 36-15 in avenging their 4-3 setback in the Alamo City a month ago.

UTSA jumped out to an early lead with two unearned in the second with senior Marshal Davis providing the big hit with his two-run single up the middle with two outs.

Dallas Baptist tied things up in the bottom of the frame and, after the Birds got a leadoff homer from senior All-American Michael Rockett in the third, the Patriots erupted for four runs on three doubles and a single in the lower half of the stanza.

The Roadrunners tied the contest at six in the fourth.

Freshman Jason Mohn launched his seventh long ball of the spring to start the inning, while Davis followed with a walk and senior Jose Hernandez lined a single to left one batter later. Sophomore Brett Aguilar blooped an RBI double to left center two hitters later and junior Lance Brown followed with a run-scoring grounder to second base.

The Patriots once again responded in kind in their half of the panel, this time with solo homers by Ryan Enos and Ryan Goins.

After a scoreless fifth, Rockett clubbed a two-run bomb to left for his 13th home run of the spring to knot the game at eight, but that would be all for the Roadrunners.

DBU took the lead for good with a three-run sixth and it added four more marks two innings later to close out the scoring.

Michael Smith (6-0) remained undefeated out of the Patriots bullpen after surrendering a pair of runs on two hits in four innings. Smith walked two and struck out five. Ryan Behmanesh kept UTSA off the scoreboard in the eighth and ninth for his fourth save of the year.

Junior lefty Cody Graham (1-1) was tagged with the loss after giving up three runs on three hits and a walk in two innings of work.

Rockett extended his hitting streak to a season-long 16 games with his 3-for-5, two-homer performance. Hernandez and freshman Matthew James added two hits apiece.

Trevor Head went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs, as eight of the nine starters had multiple-hit efforts.

UTSA (18-12 SLC) concludes the regular season with a three-game Southland Conference series against Central Arkansas (19-27, 10-19) that begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
