NACOGDOCHES ? Game three of UTSA's Southland Conference softball series at Stephen F. Austin, scheduled for noon on Sunday, has been canceled due to heavy rains in the East Texas area. The game will not be made up.
UTSA finishes the regular season at 27-27 overall and in third place in the league standings at 18-11. The Roadrunners now will head to Lake Charles, La., for the SLC Tournament, which is slated for Thursday-Saturday, May 7-9, at Cowgirl Diamond.
As the No. 3 seed, UTSA will face sixth-seeded Sam Houston State at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the first round with the winner advancing to face second-seed McNeese State at 6:30 p.m. The double-elimination tournament's championship game is set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday (4 p.m. if-necessary game).
