FRISCO ? Seniors Allie Jordan and Laura Baker collected All-Southland Conference honors as announced by the league office on Monday.

Jordan, this year's SLC Champion, was a first-team honoree following her second career title last week. The Monahans native became the first player in program history to win an individual title when she was victorious at the Yale Intercollegiate on Sept. 28 with a career-best 71. She posted four top-10 finishes this season (fall/spring combined). She finished eighth at Claud Jacobs Intercollegiate on March 10 and ninth at the Lady Mocs Intercollegiate four weeks later.

Meanwhile, Baker was an honorable mention selection and it was the third postseason award in her four-year career. The Victoria native, who was an honorable mention choice a year ago, tied Jordan with four top-10 showings on the year. She opened the spring with a 10th-place effort at the Koasati Pines Collegiate Classic on Feb. 8, followed by an eighth place performance at the Claud Jacobs Intercollegiate. Baker also placed ninth at the Lady Mocs Intercollegiate.

"I am very proud of the girls for the hard work and effort it took for them to be named All-SLC," first-year head coach Carrie Cole said. "Both of these two young ladies worked hard all year and that is one ofthe honors that comes with consistent effort day in and day out.

"I am very proud of Allie for making the first team, which was one of her individual goals for the year. She had the mental toughness and work ethic to make it happen. It also is quite an honor for Laura to be named to the team three of her four years at UTSA. "
