FRISCO ? Junior Holly Phillips and senior Nathalie Wallin both picked up first-team All-Southland Conference honors, as announced by the league office on Thursday.

Phillips was an automatic selection at No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles. The Rochester, N.Y. native has posted a 16-3 overall record, including 16-match winning streak from Feb. 7-April 10, and she was 10-1 in league action. Thirteen of her 16 victories have come in straight sets.

She also teamed up with Wallin to rack up a 14-4 mark in doubles play and a perfect 10-0 ledger in conference play. The duo has won a dozen contests in a row entering this weekend's SLC Tournament.

UTSA (14-7) enters the three-day event as the third seed by virtue of its 8-3 record in confernece marches this spring. The Roadrunners will have revenge on their mind when they open tournament play against No. 6 Sam Houston State at noon on Friday.

The Bearkats downed the Birds, 4-3, three weeks ago in San Antonio. UTSA lost two of the three doubles matches and split the six singles contests in the one-point loss. Sam Houston State is led by SLC Player of the Year Irina Sotnikova, who went undefeated in conference play at the No. 1 position.
